CardioVascular Respiratory Health-

The key components to a healthy life are Physical Activity, Good nutrition, Stress alleviation/management, Psychological balance, and Routine checkups. (ACE 2003) For the purpose of PassionForFitness.info Il focus on Physical Activity and nutrition which can improve all of the other components as well. But before exercise can begin it is wise to take a Health screening to determine where your cardioVascular health currently is. The majority of people with a cardioVascular illness do not realise they have it because they do not show any symptoms until its too late. A cardio vascular illness or disease can be treated, cured, or aggravated depending on the illness which should be evaluated and cleared by your physician before engaging in any exercise program. The purpose of a thourough health screening is to determine if physician clearance is appropriate to safely begin an exercise program, to establish a base to measure improvement and provide motivation, and determine a safe target heart rate for exercise.

Health Screening:

1. Take a medical history
2.
ACSM Risk factor Identification and Risk Stratification as well as a need for referral and or physical clearance
3. Assessment of any medications along with their effect on exercise response
4. Identify lifestyle factors that may affect program design
5. Physical Screening
