Either way, Genocide won the Election

Regardless of who we voted for or who won, our tax dollars will continue funding violence and genocide. This isn’t about party loyalty or single-issue voting. It’s about recognizing that genocide is a culmination of billions of injustices.

I understand the desire to belong, to prioritize issues that affect our daily lives. But we can’t ignore the fact that our actions have far-reaching consequences. The brutality of this genocide in the middle east currently unfolding with our financial and weapons support is unlike anything else. It’s a daily reality of terror that we’re complicit in.

Watching verified footage of the violence, witnessing the resilience of people amidst unimaginable horror… it haunts me. Some of us wake up from nightmares of burning alive, of being crushed to death. And then we see news empathizing with soldiers who can’t cope with the atrocities they’ve committed.

This isn’t about comparing suffering. It’s about recognizing that our choices perpetuate a genocide that the vast majority of the world has condemned. And it’s not just Israel – our own nation has ignored these war crimes.

I’m exhausted but resilient. I’m compelled to speak out because I can’t imagine a world where we accept this. When confronted, Kamala Harris essentially told us to prioritize our struggles over the lives of those facing genocide. Trump promises even more unwavering support. We’ve nominated two candidates who will undoubtedly perpetuate this horror.

I’m not asking you to choose between issues. I’m asking you to recognize that genocide is a moral outrage that transcends party lines. It’s about understanding that our choices reflect our values. We’ve enabled genocide before – in Yemen, in Darfur. The root is a system corrupted by corporate influence, prioritizing profits over human lives.

We focus on the MAGA cult, but the truth is that extremism has infected our entire political landscape. This division has never made me feel more disconnected from America. We were founded on a great ideal, but we’ve lost our way. I hope we can find our moral compass; perhaps for the first time in our history.

The world sees our hypocrisy. We can’t claim moral authority while electing officials who advocate for genocide. We need to reflect on the society we want to build. Change starts with us. We put these officials in power.

Please, let’s vote for a world where no child lives in fear of bulldozers, where no one has to beg us to stop funding their murder. Let’s find the courage to stand up, even when it’s hard. Let’s prove that we’re a people who will not turn away from injustice, who will not accept a system that devalues human life.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about taking a step towards a world where love conquers hate, where understanding replaces fear. Let’s raise our voices, but more importantly, let’s raise our compassion. Let’s show the world what it means to be human. We cannot just blame the politicians and the corporations who profit from war; we the people put them in power. We the people can put BETTER people in power who reflect our moral values of being anti genocide.
